The Reno Aces, in conjunction with the Arizona Diamondbacks, have announced Chris Cron as Reno's 2019 manager. With the hire, Cron becomes the Aces fourth manager in franchise history.  Cron, 54, enters his 35th season in professional baseball and sixth season in the Diamondbacks organization. With 19 years of managerial experience, Cron has won Manager of the Year honors two times; Carolina League (1998) and Pioneer League (2008).  As a player, Cron appeared in six games with the California Angels in 1991 and six games for the Chicago White Sox in 1992.

"Chris has spent a great deal of time in Reno over the past five years and we are excited to have him at the helm full-time in 2019," said Emily Jaenson, Aces General Manager. "Chris follows in great footsteps of Brett Butler, Phil Nevin, and Greg Gross. I am confident he will represent the Aces well on the field and in our community."

Ryan Radtke has been the voice of the Reno Aces since their inception in 2009. Radtke is in his 17th season behind the mic for the D-backs’ Triple-A affiliate. He joined the Tucson Sidewinders’ broadcast booth in 2—3 and served as the club’s number two play-by-play announcer until taking over as the primary voice in 2006.

Radtke spent 10 years with the University of Arizona radio network before moving to Reno. While in Tucson, he served as one of the play-by-play broadcasters for the Wildcats baseball team as well as the host of their pre-and post-game show for football and basketball. Until his appointment to the lead broadcast position with the Sidewinders, he also served as the host of a weekday afternoon radio show on KCUB (1290-AM) and an evening show on KNST (790-AM).

In addition to his duties with the Aces, Radtke currently broadcasts for Westwood One covering college football, basketball, and Olympics.  Radtke is a graduate of the University of Arizona. He and his wife Adrienne live in Sparks, NV.
