Vocational Service

Vocational Service calls on every Rotarian to work with integrity and contribute their expertise to the problems and needs of society.

To enhance and support our membership; provide mentorship by the experienced members to the less experienced members by engaging in pairing or inter-communication of either same or similar industries and/or size of companies.  This process will not only help develop our members’ careers and businesses but also encourage diversity of getting to know more of the members.  Helping the members who are retired to remain engaged in the Club and recognizing their service and careers.
At each meeting there is a one-minute introduction of a member’s active business or occupation (usually a member who is new to the club and/or in the early stages of their career) and a one-minute introduction of a retired or experienced member (hopefully in the same occupation or business).  Utilization of the membership directory for such pairing.  The experienced or retired member shall be asked prior to the introduction if they are willing to engage in mentorship.  The latter may opt out of the introduction.  It is strictly voluntary.  Members are encouraged to participate.  A minimum of 1 hour per month is required for such mentorship.  No maximum.
At least 3 and no more than 7 members who will meet once a month to select the introductions for the following months.  The first meeting shall discuss procedures and divide the club roster for contacting and encouraging participation in the introductions and mentorship program.
