Nevada State Museum

Dr. Josh Bonde is currently the Director of the Nevada State Museum. He is a proud citizen of the Te-Moak Tribe of Western Shoshone, originally from Fallon, NV, received his B.S. in Biology from UNR, his M.S. in Earth Sciences from Montana State University-Bozeman, and his Ph.D. in Geology back in Nevada. He spent time as faculty at UNLV, as Director of Research for the Las Vegas Natural History Museum, and then co-founded a non-profit the Nevada Science Center with his wife and fellow paleontologist Becky Hall. Bonde recently was lead author in describing Nevada’s first dinosaur, he is an authority on the natural history of the Silver State.
