Kate Marshall was elected as Nevada’s lieutenant governor in 2018, and served from 2019 to 2021, when she resigned to accept an offer to serve in Washington, DC. She was elected to serve as Nevada’s State Treasurer from 2017 to 2015, and prior to the she was Deputy Attorney General under Frankie Sue Del Papa, Attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice, and a Peace Corps volunteer in Kenya. She received her J.D. from the University of California Berkeley.

Elliott Parker was Nevada’s second gentleman from 2019 to 2021. He is also a professor of economics and chair of the department at the University of Nevada, Reno, a former associate dean, former director of the university core curriculum, and former chair of the faculty senate. He got his Ph.D. from the University of Washington. He and Kate married in 2014, and they subsequently coauthored a book on Nevada’s Great Recession.
