District 5190 Development
Randy was born in Boise, Idaho, graduated from Monrovia High School and received a BA in accounting and economics from the College of Idaho.  He married Christine (Chris) in June of 1971 while working in the Los Angeles office of an international CPA firm; he then took a position as the CFO for a chain of furniture stores followed by CFO for a chain of department stores. He purchased a small tax practice in Bishop, California in November of 1984. 

Randy joined the Rotary Club of Bishop in 1987. He served the Club in a variety of positions serving as President at turn of the century (2000-2001). He became involved at the District level when District 5260 was dissolved and the two Bishop and two Mammoth Lakes Clubs became part of District 5190. He served as the first Assistant Governor for Area 13 and has served in a variety of District positions including chairing the District Audit Committee, Co-Chair of the District Conference, District Annual Fund Chair, and is currently the District Secretary.

The Rotary Foundation is very important to Randy. In addition to serving as the District Annual Fund Chair he is a member of the Paul Harris Society and a Major Donor. Randy was part of the exploratory team that led to the Chiapis Global Grant project.
 
“Service Above Self” has strong meaning to Randy with his service to the Community of Bishop and the Eastern Sierra outside of Rotary. He has served in many community based organizations in a variety of roles.
