Reno Philharmonic

Tim Young is the President & CEO of the Reno Philharmonic.  During his tenure the organization has seen a budget increase of 150% from $1.3M to $3.2M and audience growth of 30% from 45,000 to 60,000.  Under his guidance the education and outreach programs of the Phil have grown to include four youth orchestras and after-school music instruction for hundreds of Title 1 Elementary students.  He led the two-year Music Director Search that resulted in the popular and successful appointment of Laura Jackson as the fourth Music Director and Conductor of the Reno Philharmonic.  Tim grew up in New Zealand, and holds degrees in Viola performance.
